Cosworth SC build...

This is just preliminary ...I really cannot begin the build until I have
1. a tuning solution..some detective work remains in order to find the source (hell even the existence) of the Cosworth stage 2 tune.
why..because this is my only DD..I can't tear it apart unless
I can get it back together in a couple of days. If It was summer I'd ride one of my motorcycles.

2. The damn instructions for the kit. None came in the box. If you saw the all the hoses ,20 or so bags of fasteners and wiring looms you would understand my reluctance to try and reverse engineer this kit.

My favorite puzzle bag is the one labeled "O ring cord 1.5 dia. SEC viton" well yeah it does look to be made out of the same material as an O ring..except its a damn string. About a foot and half long string..where in the hell would that go.

WORKS, the vendor who sold me the kit, is looking into it getting the installation instructions for me. Keep in mind the kit is crated and sealed by Cosworth UK then shipped to Cosworth USA. Cosworth USA dropped shipped it to me after WORKS put in the order. So like me everyone in the states assumed the instructions were in the crate..Which came with Cosworth UK security tape intact.

Am I sorry for buying it...not on your life.

Good thing I'm friends with the UPS man..this crate in a box weighs 104 lbs

The crate that came in the box

Klingon bird of prey..Front

back or inlet side..view from from the top

belly

Air to water cooling system..minus the mind boggling number of hoses and clamps.. in this picture you can see the coolant reservoir and water pump (Bosch)..the mount for both and of course radiator..or cooler as some call it. It also came with an idler pulley.

This is the air inlet pipe..it is one piece ..unlike the cosworth pictures..which I assume were pre production versions.

another view of the front..nice casting for sure

Air to water Cooler components

The viton cord in question..another member who bought the Cosworth SC does not have this among his parts bags. Some one at Cosworth having some fun ? ..I can conceive of no place that an 18 inch rubber O ring cord would be needed ,but when it comes to SCs I'm a newbie (shrug.)

quantity .550 yeah sure

since its from UK, they use the metric system, and so i'm sure thats 0.550 meters, which equals about 18 inches.

I can't wait till you have it installed and post your experience. If you get the instructions, are you going to do it yourself or go to a shop?

I'll be doing it myself once I have the two things I need( from my post one.) There is no one around with any experience to do it. I'm in a rather rural area of south western NH. If I was on the NH sea coast that would be another story.
Hopefully by the end of this month..but who knows
