Well, BRZGary, I reckon if it were a "crease" in the "leather", the stitching wouldn't have been cut, but since it appears the stitching has been cut, I reckon it was cut AFTER it mas manufactured.

Stopped in at Subaru dealer today, and... They are replacing the seat cover. Huge thumbs-up to Chaplin's Bellevue Subaru (WA), and Scott in the service department.

That's awesome news! Judging from the pic I figured they would tell you to pound sand.

The photo looks like something sharp in a pocket might have caught the leather.

Yes, I went in asking their advice on the best fix, admitting I had no idea how or when it happened, so was thrilled with their response. That kind of customer service will pay off, next time I'm in the market for a vehicle I'll be back.
