I have a ruckus, sucks !! I wouldn't drive it 2 miles away for a gallon of milk, very dangerous riding the white line, 75% of cars beep at you, zero acceleration. Don't waist your money...my .o2 Get a small used motorcycle instead that will do the speed limit and still get 75mpg

I recommend jafrum, I bought a Shoei helmet and leather jacket last January. The quality of items is great as well as the shipping service. I also recommend this website to my biker friends and they responded positively about the items. |

Have you guys seen this? What a badass idea!! I might have to take on one of these builds!
![]() From www.rycamotors.com: The Ryca CS-1 is a 650cc, air-cooled, single cylinder café racer designed to be lightweight, reliable, and fuel efficient for urban commuting. The engine and chassis components are sourced from the unsung heroes of the thumper world: the venerable Suzuki S40. You can purchase a new CS-1 or build your own from custom parts. The bike was designed by Casey Stevenson of Ryca Motors in Los Angeles. Casey was an engineer at NASA. He traded a super cushy desk job for the chance to build motorcycles. Here's what he says about the bike: "I was in the market for a new motorcycle and wanted a lightweight thumper to get around the streets of L.A. I quickly discovered the lack of available options, so I started working on a new design. I was imagining a motorcycle with a Japanese engine and classic cafe styling, but more sleek and modern than the single cylinder customs based on old bikes that are popular at the moment. I discovered my ultimate thumper café racer hidden inside a bike known as the Suzuki S40 (aka the Savage). They have been around for over 20 years and are still available brand new. The custom parts and accessories were designed to avoid any major modifications to the frame or engine, which allows anyone with basic tools to build their own bike from kit components. The end result is a machine that is simple, fun, and affordable." The Ryca CS-1 kit includes every component needed to build your own café racer at home with basic tools. It includes all the custom parts made at Ryca, plus all the additional aftermarket components and accessories needed to complete your project. All custom parts are fabricated by hand and are powdercoated for durability. There are different kit options and upgrades so prices vary. Check out all the pics and specs of this project build at www.rycamotors.com

![]() My brother has a newer Vespa 200 and he has done interstate travel on it. I only took my Riva on the interstate to experiment with top speed (70mph). Around town even my old Riva was plenty peppy and loads of fun. Cheap thrills baby, cheap thrills. |

Speaking of smaller bikes. Did you guys see the recent
? I think it looks great and has loads of character! And I like the idea of something simple, lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to maintain. Anybody ridden one of them?

I just sold my Triumph D675. Ill miss her, but Ill own another Triumph some day.
![]() ![]() I still have my project bike, an '88 Honda NT650 Hawk GT. I will never sell this one. About 2 years ago: ![]() Recently: ![]() -CBR600RR front fork -Ducati 916 rear wheel/brake caliper -Fox Racing rear shock -Custom tank; bottom pan from Hawk GT tank, top section from CBR600F2/3, molded to fit frame -A whole bunch more little parts and a big pile that has yet to go on. Hopefully once I get the suspension and paintwork all squared away Ill send the engine out for a 700cc build. Its not the fastest bike in the world, but it handles well and its very rare.

I asked earlier about a VFR800 as a starter, but have decided to move down a bit.
Currently am looking at a VFR400R NC24 (not sure if JDM grey market, says speed limiter is removed???) and a Canadian market Yamaha FZR400. Both under 35000 km, and ~$3k. Anyone have experience or thoughts on these older 400's? I will be signing up for a course reasonably soon. Thanks.
