Subie Rumble

Goal: To get a nice sub rumble
I have a J2 Dual Tip Catback Exhaust on my frs right now. I want to get url headers soon to get the sub rumble. Does anyone know some headers that will give the rumble no drone or cause a raspy setup?

Google.com headers?

I kid. Personally I find JDL headers to be on the bass-ier side.

I hear the J2's are pretty loud and paired up with a catless UEL you may get raspy and/or drone.

All UEL headers will produce similar sounds and will give you a rumble. What affects the raspiness is catalytic converters and resonators. This will depend on the rest of your exhaust setup.

I really hate to be that guy, and definitely not dissing the nice exhaust tone, but you do have some rasp.

I hear many people out there claim 'zero rasp' with FRS/BRZ and catless headers. You have to do some custom resonator work to truly end up with zero rasp. I've been there, and done that, and it wasn't easy or cheap.

With that being said, still good tone!

Build thread in my signature has videos of my catless setup. No rasp, not sure about the drone. Feel like drone was there when I didn't have my UEL installed.

Probably have to get my.hearing checked, lmao. The video doesn't sound the same as in person so I really have no clue now.
