subaru rumble

just quick question. how can we achieve the subaru boxer engine sound?

straight pipe probably will not do it huh? need headers w/o the cats ?

From what ive gathered that subaru rumble is from unequal legnth headers? Anyone can correct me if i am wrong.

Remove you muffler and you will have the rumble.

as far as function whats better equal or unequal headers?
will headers for wrx fit or are there different curves to line it up with our pipe?

There are a few catbacks which come close. There is a thread from ARK Performance and it sounds very much like a Subaru.

Equal length makes more HP. The only reason WRX uses UEL is because it is better packaging for the turbo. Here is a good video showing UEL sound vs. EL sound
