So where do these light bars come from? Is that what they're called? Links, gifts would be great. Lol. Sometimes I'm a lot funnier inside my head than out, I apologize

There's a few posts about hi-mount brake light mod....

(This one is from a website that sells an aftermarket version for Mustangs... ~$50 and a moderately-difficult DIY install.)

On the Forum...

There is native for our cars by Intec, and also custom CF or FP ones made by forum member wheelhaus.

I have the mustang one. Fitment isn't perfect but it's serviceable. Might be able to make adjustments to the shape with a heat gun. Install was harder than replacing light bulbs but not bad. About as hard as the 4th brake light install

I had no issue with the shape of the housing. It fit nicely.... it was their 3m tape that I had to eventually replace in order to have a clean looking (smooth stick-area) on the glass. Not a complaint... for $50... I wasn't expecting perfection. And the addition of the rear window spoiler/shade helped with keeping the housing "in the shade" so it isn't too visible when in bright lighting.

Mine doesn't stick all the way around. Maybe I stuck it on too high but I wanted the inner part hidden by the headliner

IMO, you might have pushed it too far back (towards headliner) and thus caused some deformation in regards to fitment. The Mustang version -- and even the more expensive CF one found on this Forum are designed such that most of the housing will be visible when looking down through the glass. That's why I added the smoke visor/spoiler.
