FRS LED light bar install
Hey guys,
I found an LED light bar on Ebay the other day, that looked like it would work well with my FRS. I got it mounted up this weekend, and it fits really well, but I cant decide if it looks a little too "ricey" so I thought I would post some pics so you guys can let me know what you think. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...ictureid=10149 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...ictureid=10148 [IMG]http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...ictureid=10146[/IMG] http://www.ft86club.com/forums/pictu...ictureid=10145 |
Very nice install. Those things are so bright, you could probably get a smoked lens (or smoke it yourself) and it would still be crazy bright. I think it would look a lot better if it was slightly tinted so it didn't stand out as much.

I thought about doing this some time ago. lol.
Any night action shots? |
VHT Nightshade it and blend it in a bit.
but arent lightbars in the front illegal in CA? |

Also, I do like the tint idea, and maybe get some black coated bolts as well. |
what are you going to use the lightbar for? is it for track only? please do not use it on the street...
I also agree with tinting it. right now, since the surround is all dark colors with the lightbar white, it is extremely noticeable. |

But yea, intended use is as a driving light, as I have found myself in the middle of the desert driving to the track in the wee hours of the AM. Going back and forth on the tinting thing, I agree that it would make it a bit more subtle, but so far, I'm not really trying to hide it.... |
More rice than uncle Ben could handle. But it's your car.

someone with photoshop skills should add a tint and see how well it looks |
You could put it behind the grill. Shouldn't affect brightness that much

To get it behind the grill would require notching the crash beam, as well as cutting out each little hole in the grill, as that part of it is blocked off. |
