This car is like a hybrid. I guess the advanced fuel injectors (having both port and direct) is the reason? I get 28-29 city / 36 short highway runs/ 42-44 MPG on long interstate trips (i.e. 10 hr. drives). Have confirmed with manual calculation, but usually 1 mpg lower than the trip computer. 2013 Auto.

I can see how one can those figures under hwy miles, but its the city figures that astound me. Maybe its my heavy ass foot or the bs traffic I deal with on a daily basis.

80 highway miles per day doing about 80mph. average 30mpg with a little bit of city driving mixed in. Would be nice if the car had a 7th gear on the highway just to quiet things down.

if you average 90mph it drops to around 26-27mph and ur at 4000 rpm lol.

About 26.5 mpg, with occasionally spirit driving, 60% Hwy/40% streets. Might need to reset my mpg and try it again lol.

Mine felt like it had been trending downward (especially since I used to do a ton of freeway driving that would return 30mpg pretty consistently), but I went to check and lo and behold I see a similar creep UP over the past year of ownership as the car surpassed 40k miles and my driving habits stabilized. Maybe a point or two is due to the switch between summer and winter blends, but I'm optimisitic that if I can keep my foot out of it on the next long drive I'll get a good 30+ mpg tank on that leg of the journey. Inevitably an autocross, track day, or week of commuting kills any good number I could have gotten but c'est la vie.

Realistically the ~23-25 mpg tanks are about 2/3 city and 1/3 freeway, It's been months since getting a tank of straight freeway driving, not too far off EPA mixed cycle which is 55% city, 45% freeway and 25mpg for the FR-S MT

Yeah, I've seen that site a million times. Those places listed are either airports, marinas, or small engine repair facilities and they are not supposed to sell to people using that fuel in road-going vehicles. Or occasionally you find a place selling CAM2, and it's $11+ a gallon.. Either way, the internet is only as accurate as the information people put out there.

Initially I didn't realize you weren't here in the US. I saw Shrewsbury and thought Massachusetts. I frequently use that to (successfully) find stations in New England that sell non ethanol gas. You're just in the wrong England

I'm in a 2013 frs and I do city driving. I'm getting around 26 mpg but I'm keeping it well below 2500-3000 rpm at all times and I feel like my mpg should be better. I do no sort of hard acceleration. So I'm in the same boat
