Or go to an auto-x.

Auto x is a great place to learn the cars limits at a relatively slow speed. I learned more about the limits of this car doing a few laps around the auto x course than driving a back roads. Once you learn the characteristics of the car, you can adjust your suspension and alignment settings to suit your driving needs.

You can also check out your local auto club, they might host a lapping day which are usually pretty affordable.
