Dang, every time I tried to edit that post it came up blank. I had to copy and paste then paste and copy.

Gee my Hyper Blue is over priced? My world is shattered. I thought $26K plus tax and tags for a car that I like in a great color was pretty good deal. To each their own. BTW, I concur with Wolfpack on the brakes. Radial versus floating is not going to make a big difference. Pad surface area, rotor size and compound will make a difference realtive to a brake system's ability to withstand repeated hard stops. One or two panics stops between the STI and standard brakes would be negligible, but please read up and learn more.

Please, explain to me why you believe a WRX STI's Brembo fixed caliper, opposed four piston brake system will not perform better than a two piston sliding caliper brake systems like that used on the BRZ?

What Stephen is seeing is probably better braking feel, but absolute stopping power on the street is probably comparable. Different cars here with too many variables, and the braking system is complex with a lot of components where each plays a factor. Even the dam vacuum assist plays a part (I hate the soft brake pedal feel of modern VW/Audi cars cuz of this, 986/996 brake pedal feels like a rock in comparison).

Fixed calipers from my understanding is a more expensive design than the floating type.

OE Brembos are not really for heavy track use. They look nice, work well and can be used for light track duty. The marketing is very clever, many consumers think they are getting the equivalent to a track duty BBK. If you price aftermarket BBKs the Brembos are more money than comparable Wilwood etc.

I use OE calipers with Project Mu +800 pads and DOT4 brake fluid. Works great but a lot of brake dust and squeaky for daily. My guess is aside from the squeaking, similar light track performance to OE Brembo.

Seems like a fully loaded BRZ in yellow. Only thing special appears to be the color. Curious if this is released though before the PP...

So nothing special? Just the color and the power package? Even this color is not my taste ...

Hey make sure you open the hood too!

It's worth the trip since you can check out the S207 in person (not sure if you saw the car in Japan already).
