Still unsure here. Is the consensus that a cat did this damage? OP if you did this on purpose, you shouldn't post the grisly evidence up on the internet.

The damage you have a picture of is the pinch weld that you would normally use to jack up the car. From what I've seen on many cars is that these get bent/out of shape all the time from jacks not being centered. I don't think the damage could have been caused from your recent event unless you hit something in between trying to save this cat.

So, something happened to me. A floor jack slipped and damaged my pinch weld. It damaged my front quarter panel. If you look at your jack point it's actually attached to your front quarter panel.

Just be careful.

Thank you for trying to save the cat. Don't waste your breath trying to explain it to these hyenas -- we prowl these pages looking for things to howl about.

And compared to most who post here, your English is more than sufficient! Many who were born to English can be completely incomprehensible.

no worries, we have the same vehicle so we're free to troll..
as it's fun so I have more motivation to optimise the English skill

so that's the subaru store who did this while the maintenance.. quite annoying I did not notice during the process, now it would be difficult to ask them for any refund/compensation.

I just want to point out that, while the cat was under the car, it was in a state of quantum superposition, both alive and dead.

That pinch weld was NOT bent by just jacking up the car (at least according to some "experts" on this other thread) /s

They CANNOT support the weight of the car unless you have the "puck" device that supports on either side of the pinch.

Drive the car up on a 2X4 and then use the low profile jack to jack on the jack points identified in the manual.

I can almost guarantee that ALL of the people above that said that it is OK to jack by the pinch welds have not done it on this car
