Don't think Lexus even has a manual car in its line-up now.

Even if you go and order the RC now, you would have to wait until Aug/Sept due to production disruption during the Kumamoto earthquake a short while ago (I know someone that just ordered one).

Finally a properly fast Ford from the UK to sell here. Even with the crazy markup wouldn't it still be a lot cheaper than something like a RS3/CLA45/M2?

Or if you want to stay with FORD why not save some money and get this...

Lebanon Ford, in Lebanon, Ohio, wants to sell you a 727-horsepower Mustang GT with a Phase 2 Supercharger for exactly $39,995. Somehow, that price is full-delivered. The obvious question is: how the hell is that even possible? Well, there are three components to a custom car: the vehicle, the additional parts, and the labor to install the latter into the former. Because a brand-new Mustang GT costs no less than $32,395 and Roush lists a Phase 2 supercharger kit for $7,549.99, we called the sales department to see how they were doing the math.

"Oh that? That was a typo. Should have read $59,999. But since you are here why don't you come right over this way and I will show you something just about as good for way less money"

Why does everybody keep throwing the 'Vette out there based purely on price? Is it so inconceivable that some people want the hot hatch and could not care less about a 2 seat sports car?
Just how many people are cross shopping the RS and Corvettes?

There will only be a handful that ever pay that mark up anyway and if they are willing to hand over an extra $10K then they really want that car not something else. Comparing the marked up price to a $51K car and saying "may as well go to that" is just silly.

I can't channel enough douchebag energy to buy a vette. I could buy a flat brimmed hat and skinny jeans and buy an RS, though. Not sure if that's good or bad.

The same percentage that show up here cross shopping an 86 with a Mustang/Camaro/Challenger/Genesis/Vette and Focus ST/GTI/WRX.

I think that accounts for 5% of all car related internet forum content. Whether it's off-road Jeeps or Miata.net.

I sorta like the stealthness of the RS. You can say "I drive a Ford Focus" and most of the population won't bat an eye at you. OTOH, I Vette screams for attention (which I don't really like anyway)

Well this is from Autotrader for Florida dealers..... The real MSRP on that first one was $41.5K as I went to the dealer website and saw the sticker. In fairness there are a few listed at much less,,, dont know if the dealers will sell for that though.

Again, these are dealers who ordered cars, often high spec cars, with the sole intention of selling them with massive ADMs. Only the guys who just can't wait will jump on these.

The one thing Ford's lottery production system does is screw some of those dealers and some of them will get their cars as late as I'll get mine even though the greedy dealers did that with their first allocations.

A lot of people that ordered back when the banks opened up are paying MSRP. I can still find allocations locally at ADMs so even if one wants to pay more those would still be a better choice as you can at least get what you want intead of whatever the dealer ordered for their greed cars.

Mine will cost me $41,280 or something like that + TTT and of course + the huge dealer/doc fees Florida dealerships charge, but that's not RS specific.

For ~$41K I think I'll be happy with the car. I almost went C7 or Cayman S instead (if I could only comfortably afford [and find] a GT4 :jerksoff: ) but in the end decided to go with the car no one will notice ha

Dave,,, certinally sounds like you bought right. Look forward to hear your impressions after driving it a bit. When buying last time it was between the FRS and the Focus ST,,, chose the FRS as it was just a much better deal.

I see you're from FL and race Integras. Any chance you might know Cliff Ira??? He's the brother of a buddy and did pretty well in his Integra at the runoffs a few years ago.
