autonews says ford will pump out as many as can be bought.... so, then really what is the appeal?
Considering they likely won't even produce the allocation cars before they switch to 2017 MY on other Focii.. as many as they can produce isn't that great.

They can build about 77 a day. That can cover it, but progress has been EXTREMELY slow so who knows.

New Focus in 2018 also, so it will be a short run. I'd guess 10k cars in the US though which isn't really limited IMO but more limited than your average car.

Do those come with a manual? Too lazy to look. If not, I would never consider it but I hate autos

Even 36 is steep for that car. Thats Mustang GT territory or SS, either of which is probably a better car. To little car to much price

So how was the RS to drive? What didn't you like about it that made it "too little car"?

Over in California every dealer was MSRP or higher. Some even bundled Lojack for $1800 markup.

IDK why, but someone will buy it. I thought the focus ST was very unworthy of its 30K+ pricetag new.
Eh? Focus ST was only a $30k car if loaded with every option and at MSRP, two things that are easy to avoid. Pretty sure a regular Focus Titanium can be optioned to over $30k as well. Ditto a new Honda Civic. (and overpriced in both respects).

I guess the local ford dealer only got them in the decent trim or whatever but every one had a sticker over 30K, I just had to laugh. I only glanced at them right after they dropped as well.

I'd still rather have a CSRT4 if we're talking turbo hatches.

My order flow has basically been:
Oct 11th, deposit made.
Oct 12th, dealer tried to enter order on the first day the order bank opened, but issues delayed that a bit. Still ordered early on back in October.
April 7th, my car finally was selected for scheduling (crucial step as it means you should actually be getting a car). My car was #2 of 3 allocations but the 1st AND 3rd car are already built and released but not delivered to the dealer yet. Ugh.

And now I'm waiting to get scheduled to week/day which should be the day it gets built. They did a huge scheduling run a month or so back but of course mine didn't make the cut.

Reviews differ. Not that I completely believe reviews. Jeremy Clarkson actually had a good write up recently as he has one (personally or for TGT I'm not sure).

True but you get all the options and winter wheels/tires and the good wheels/tires as well and not for a terrible price really. Of course, if you don't want every option then you are screwed

That sucks. I will admit that I got myself a sweet deal which I was able to extend to 2 other forum members before it was locked down. Great dealer so they honored it without question and even included 2 cases of beer for me and a free trunk mat

I am stuck at MSRP for the Focus RS.

At $36k it's a bit pricy,, but looks to be a nice ride. At $46 I do believe I'd step up justa bit........
