Black bushings or Yellow? have you greased them?

This one actually came with the yellow bushings. Yeah, I greased them up really good when I installed the bar. I never hear the bushings squeak when I go over speed bumps or anything, so the lube still seems to be good.

Maybe a dumb question, or covered elsewhere but...

Are you fast folks running re71s down to the bitter end (cords)? Are they equally fast until they aren't?

Just trying to gauge when I should swap mine out. Just under 4/32 f/r after 90 runs of autox and 25-30 laps on a go-kart track.

Packwood tours and pros are coming up and I'm hoping that I can make this set last til after then. Just wondering at what point they fall off a cliff -- 2/32? 1/32?

Thanks for info!

Most people say they're fast down to the cords, unless you put a lot of daily drive miles on them.

I'm curious about how daily driving miles affects them. I've got ~2k miles of street driving on mine, maybe a bit more. ~50 autocross runs and 4 hours of track time, down around 4/32 f/r. Still fast enough to nearly take local PAX win against fast drivers/cars. That may change by the time I hit 2/32

kk, that's what I thought. Just wanted confirmation.

I've got probably around 1k miles on mine, just transit to/from events. Packwood is 200 miles away from me.

Thank you!

They were good to me even at completely bald. Just harder to drive but the times come up the same.

Does anybody run Ace headers? Their 4-2-1 CS400 looks to work well for both auto-x and daily driving. I got a JDL UEL now, but I'm curious about Ace's overpipe being an extension of the header.

Doesn't that header eliminate both cats? If it's the long tube version I'm thinking of, it didn't look possible to run a cat within six inches of OEM. But my memory might be fuzzy.

Heat Cycles are what kill sticky tires. You can heat cycle them out well before the thread is gone.

Mine were great until the end, they are probably all at 1/32nd give or take. Took them off cause I have a huge event coming this weekend(2 days of HPDE, 2 autox, and 1 high speed autox on the road course). needed some tread for rain.

I'm well aware, that was my point. I don't know how the heat cycles from DD use behave, are they half cycles because they never actually get HOT?

FWIW I've got two autocrosses and a track day in the next week and a half and 2k miles of highway driving. I'll be putting on new tires before the end of July, I think. 4 months of use out of tires... Depressing
