WOW! that is a lot of snow! we got like nothing in westerlo. well thats a lie we got some, but not 180" thats crazy. I have a cousin who goes to college in buffalo. it gets pretty bad up there.

I am with you all the way with the wrx actually, I love them. I still want a brz, but eh . . . I want to be a vet, they make a decent amount of money.... just watch in ten years i will have both, haha.v

Yes, for 2011. So far for 2012 we've had ~40" or so. It starts snowing in October, and stops in April, sometimes May. It's ridiculous.

AWD wont happen

And i doubt even turbo will, it will put it in the 32k+ market right next to the sti.

Where is the AWD turbo coupe? Has Subaru ever produced one for the US?

Extra bonus points for one that wasn't beaten with an ugly stick at the factory.

Most Subaru's are beaten with an ugly stick, especially in the 80s.

Although the RX wasn't the worst looking Subaru ever.

This non-stop obsession with "it needs more power" needs to stop. Why does it need more power? So you can go faster in a straight line? The car is supposed to be all about balance. If you want a fast 1/4 mile car go buy something else, or modify/swap your motor to your hearts content. Stop assuming that because you read it on the internet that someone said it needs more power it must be true.

I guarantee that most people saying "it needs more power" have never driven the car, nor have ever taken it around a track. I'm willing to bet that stiffer sway bars, and tighter suspension will net you faster lap times than simply slapping a turbo on this car. Stiffen up the chassis even more, and then watch as the car suddenly performs better. Put on some stickier tires on lighter/wider wheels. Suddenly you're shaving 10+ seconds off of your lap times.

This car is the anti-thesis to the "MORE POWER" arms race that has dominated the market. Tada-san has stated time and again, "This car was designed to center the focus on the driver, not the cars specs." Why would they suddenly deviate from that path? To appease some meat-headed drag race enthusiasts in an already overly crowded market?

While handling and feel are first and foremost in this car , its not only about the track. Its nice to be able to actually drive fast (with a reasonable bump in HP) on the street under legal circumstances; you've got to admit that you would be much more impressed with your car's performance if it wasn't being passed by a Camry at WOT.

Performance cars that are afraid of usable power?

OK, you got me there, but no bonus points for you.

I really should have known, since I drove an XT last year. That said, 80's turbos left a bit to be desired. Better off with modern NA for power.
