It was a car review. You know, like Car and Driver or MotorTrend would do. Jay does a lot of these, check out his other videos. Some are his own cars, some are provided by the manufacturer.

Can't believe how Jack did not know what the etymology of the term "boxer engine" was But I guess as a Scion executive he would not think about boxer as much as anyone working at Subie

I have met Jack in person a few times and he is a pretty cool and likeable guy IMO. I think this was just jitters on his part. Scion doesn't get a lot of celebrity attention. I have also heard him spout the specs before without issue, so again I chalk that up to nerves.

That burnout at the end was kind of sad - You can do way better if you brake it at least a teeny bit. Then again I guess Jay is probably used to cars where simply romping the throttle will roast the tires for a football field.

Lol every time Jack Hollis speaks, it seems like he is trying to sell the car.

HAH. at 8:35-8:50 he mentions me. ironically i didn't end up getting an FR-s because it ultimately was too small for me. great car though, and still roomier than i thought it would be

I saw the video. Jack did good. Jay Leno can get to you like that. Nobody is perfect. Jack is still the best general manager for Scion. He seemed the same as any other time I have ever seen him present.

"It's a 2, it's a 2, it's a 2 liter boxer engine!"

Yeah!

Jack you da man bro!

Oh damn, Jack said there might be a stripper model in the near future...did y'all catch that?

Jack you da man bro!

Looks like Jay ran a red light...hehe!

Actually I looked at it again...he made it before it turned...

Jay, "The car weights what?"
Jack, "27 freaking 58! Jay! How many freaking times do I have to tell your old jeans wearing ass?"

What video did y'all see? That was a good review. Jay loved this car!

If he took the thing on the canyons or curves im sure his relatively bored demeaner would have changed.

I think he is referring to modern Toyotas. The newest "sporty
Toyotas was the mr2 and celica and even those were a little off-target with the "sports car" demographic. Just like many icons they got bigger and didn't increase the power enough to maintain their performance. The older models were better. I hope for his sake that this is what he meant. I'm not trying to hate on the cars, just trying to explain another persons actions.

Geez - that Scion guy was painful to watch. How the hell did he get to the position he's in? And he barely mentions Subaru.

Man some of y'all just hating on Jack Hollis! He did good. That is why he talks and operates. Its like he is on bath salts. He is so hyper. But that is what makes him cool.

I don't see where he messed up. It looked like the same old Jack to me.

Jack is just happy that Scion finally got a cool car....and I bet you more is yet to come....

Can me say Scion SR-S (Toyota Supra)....hehe

I say screw it...bring back the MR-2 (not a convertible, make it targa)

Scion MR-2...works with the FR-S naming...

A 2.0 liter flat 4 mounted midship...hmmm

Put all the sports cars at Scion....that is the only way Scion is going to survive...
