Thanks for sharing. I'd like to try mid Ohio and VIR sometime. I've heard something about Palmer improvements, specifically garages, maybe more. I asked them for more specifics, will post when they reply. Enjoy!

You run with PCA do you have a fire extinguisher mounted? I want to run in white group but need one mounted not sure how to. Ill run in the lower group in mid ohio since i never been there but want to be able to pass tech for white+

I ran in pca white group last year and it wasn't required. Doubt it's required for any HPDE group.

Oh i looked at tech form for my event it says white+ its required. Check tech sheet on nnjr site.

Too bad, it appears that PCA NER (Northeast Region) recommends but does not require a fire extinguisher

Good to know. Probably they arent too strict on the requirement. I'm going to the tech day on Monday so I will ask. Going to just sign up for blue group anyway since I not been to Mid Ohio before. Maybe they can bump me during the event to white.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER: Must be securely mounted (metal to metal) within reach of driver. Must be
BC or ABC rated, 2.5 lb minimum and must be fully charged. HALON/HALOTRON type is highly
recommended. Required in White run group and above; highly recommended for all others.

Just got a response from Palmer "You can rent a garage now, and we are working on new bathroom facilities as we speak. There is power too." Also, somebody who went there recently said that the paddock is not paved.

I was there on 5/2. Paddock wasn't paved, garages were up but it was dirt/gravel to get to them. Curbing was mostly in (no track out @ T9, pavement drop to dirt) but it's REALLY not meant to be used. Not in the best spots and upsets the car. They had a trailer with mens/womens bathrooms with power and water.


It's really coming along though. Definitely a must drive!
