Just to be clear, you couldn't even log into the tech stream? Or you made it in, but registering codes requires you to provide actual credentials?

Techstream is the software, they also have an online system called techinfo which is what I used to get TSBs to upload to the forum several time, it's also where the service manuals and other stuff like key registration are. Its a $50 subscription I believe, but even then it asks for your tech id which only a technician has......

I've had no trouble with programming new remotes on the frs/brz with a pirated copy of techstream before, and I've done programmed new G keys with it as well. Unfortunately never had any luck with the twins.

Not too sure, From what one toyota technician told me he said that it was a denso ECU by subaru, but made to run on techstream. which confuses me considering that i'm able to program remotes.

I had that suspicion... I wonder if BRZ owners have had better luck?

Nah I have a BRZ, I gave up and just used the Chip from the Valet key.
