does the dash cluster still read correctly ?

often this is caused by interrupting the can buss communications between ecu and dash by plugging\unplugging devices into obd port while car is switched on, best to plug\unplug while ignition off.

if its permanent it can be caused by loading an incompatable rom into ecu
i know this happends if you load a D00G rom in an A01G or earlier car.
