I can vouch for JDL's customer servie.

My headers had a fitment issue, where they rattled against the skid plate, and they took care of it and sent me a new replacement that fit perfectly.

With that said, it is true that me and 2 other friends that bought the JDL headers have had leaks from the header to the overpipe, but if you have a nice oem gasket to throw in there, and get creative with it, you can work around the issue (oem gasket will not fit the JDL bolts).

As for thermal coating, totally recommended. You don't want your ignition coils burning because of a non-coated exhaust header

JDL tuned

FT86Speedfactory uncatted and tuned

Was the JDL catted or uncatted? The ft86speedfactory one looks to have eliminated the torque dip more than the JDL one on these dynos.

In my experience, coil failure has nothing to do with the header, I've been tracking with uncoated header for the last 15K miles (car currently has 33K) and have yet to have a coil failure... I have had DI injector seal failure though

Uncatted... the JDL has a slight dip compared to the FT86, but has more tq below 3K RPM

I never took a print of a tuned run below 3K, but this is how the FT86SF looked without tuning.

Granted, the lack of tq could be related to my catted 3" FP, reports say you can lose some low end tq with a 3" exhaust.

What is the best method of contacting you? During my order process I contacted you here on the forum twice, but never received a response. After I got my header, I did run into some issues at the over pipe connection, and had other concerns that I brought up wanting to ensure that everything was alright with my header and the installation - I sent an email inquiring about those things, but have not yet received a response that addressed the concerns; is it best to get in-contact you through phone?

several guys in ATL86 run the JDL header. all say the stock header gaskets and thin header to overpipe gasket leaked, but the grimmspeeds have not. I just installed mine so that's second hand info, but from several installations. YMMV.

I used the over pipe gasket provided by JDL and OEM Subaru header flange gaskets and have had no leaks or issues.

This is the combination we use here. Its a matter of proper torque sequence and having the Overripe and Header outlet lined up. If any of you are having issues give us a call and we can walk you through it.

Thanks
