@Shiv@Openflash I want to get a custom etune the same time I purchase an OFT, is there a good time of the day to call y'all? Had some questions about the whole procedure, I've emailed sales@openflashperformance but never got a response.

And as newer OEM calibrations hit the streets, we will add support for them as well. Things may come to halt if the engine/platform is discontinued by Subaru/Toyota. But I don't see any signs of that happening any time soon. So forgive me if I fail to see any evidence of us slowing down support for the OFT.

I'm with deuncos here, I've tried emailing and facebook messaging the openflash page several times to no avail to learn more about the e-tune process. As I said before that is my ONE and ONLY gripe with you guys, support is a big deal answering a simple email about one of your $200 services would be awesome! Could you maybe post more info on the e-tune process?

Forgive me if I seemed overly pessimistic. I'm new to this platfirm and I didn't know this much activity was this recent. I'm very excited to be on a healty platform with lots of active development again, I'm not used to that anymore haha.

Great to hear that you're with us at least until the end of life of the engine. That should give most of us a nice warm fuzzy

If shiv releases the Flex tunes for NA, then if you wanted instead of a flex kit/sensor you could just install a switch or a variable resistor , to control the volts into the input to ECU. In this way you could simply switch between petrol and E85 maps no reflash . Or dial up an E% you want . Cost about $5, if you did not want to go the whole flex fuel kit setup.

How does the volts pick up the ethanol content percentage?

using a switch is just a simple manual map switch, it just saves you having to reflash.

correct it doesn't detect any E% you just switch it to petrol or E85 and avoid having to flash

you would need to work out the volts required to set the ecu for say E40 or E65 or whatever, but I believe the oft will have and ethanol % readout.
again you would need to test or know what your fuel E% was, the tune could still use the ltft for about 15% or so correction either side of the set value.

however it doesn't replace a full flex setup, its just an option for NA guys who maybe cannot justify $500 plus for a flex setup and just want some simple map switching. Similar to an ecutek 4 map switch tune.

either your getting heaps of knock due your fuel being poor quality
or your car is running very rich due maf scaling (or you have aftermarket intake)

neither of those issues will be fixed by the updates.
Running 94 octane fuel only since the day i bought the car with 93 tune. Zero knock on both street daily or under high load on the track multiple times.
The dyno was in fact before I rescaled the MAF to dial in the Greddy intake, so could be that case. But there is still definitely quite some room to play. If there wasn't, we wouldn't be waiting for these new improved stage2 maps

We just got our stock of OFTs on Friday so we have been spending the last few days getting caught up on back orders. We should be caught up with emails by the end of the day tomorrow. Here's what we packed and shipped today:

Got a bunch more we need to get out tomorrow. Then we will finally have the time for emails
