had some fun the first couple days. I'm level 23 now and I don't really have the drive to play it like I did when I first got it. it got really repetitive really fast.

it's pretty fun in a group. the dark zone can be fun as well but the beta was a little bit better because no one cared about going rogue and now everyone is too scared to.

that's not to say it's not a good game, I just can't see myself playing it once I hit level 30 and all the missions are completed. I definitely don't have the drive to do all the encounters since they're all the same.

oh well.

recently as a level 23 I've been going up to the level 30 part in the top right of the map and just mowing level 30s down. I've got an advanced ACR that does iirc 16k dps with the mods and perks I've got. I could be wrong though I haven't played it in a couple days.

have yet to come by a purple or yellow drop but I think those become prevalent at 25+. I bought a purple holster from the store though.

Are people still enjoying the game? The DZ is getting a bit annoying with everyone using the glitched chest and mask and I finally gave in to using it last night after getting killed by it

Incursions, supply drops, and set pieces on Tuesday along with the new patch, fucking hype! I didn't see it listed in the patch notes but hopefully those items get fixed.

Also, while I'm here, will bitch a bit about the DZ.

Still don't like it. I don't like that as a mostly solo player (my friends don't want to go into the DZ because of all the griefers) I'm pretty much only there for phoenix credits and DZ level to buy new gear. I've not got a single drop that's better than any of my current gear. Still get tons of green and blue drops, not cool.

My favourite thing is being at an EZ, it's totally clear, going in to start hooking up to the chopper, and have 4 grenades land at my feet. Not to mention the other night when I was playing, I got mobbed on by a group of 8-10 rogue players. Also bullshit that there's 2 or 3 spots rogue players can get to that have limited access, in one case, one of the spots only has one ladder going up there, so they can effectively hold out as long as possible.

I guess the DZ is fine if you're a high enough level, and have good enough gear, and enough friends that you don't need to worry about other players trying to kill you. I also feel as though a "karma" like system needs to be implemented. Give me a heads up that the group of 4 I just encountered goes rogue fairly often, so I can start sprinting away from them. I also love it when I walk into the DZ and there's a bunch of guys with guns pointed at the entrance and I get mowed down.

Again, great concept, but there are far too many griefers out there for it to truly work, and to truly make me want to spend any time in there, truly exploring and shit.

Unfortunately the DZ is still alot of sabre rattling/**** measuring. If people are aiming at you and see that you are a low DZ they will most likely shoot on you. Easier said than done but get good gear that gives XP on kill and you will go up in level so much faster even if is only 20%

I'm pretty much no life hardcore on the game from like 6-9 pm cst most weeknights for at least another week or so. Feel free join if there is room.



Quick DZ solo guide if anyone cares:

Focus on Health over DPS until you get to 75k+ hp
The best solo build seems to be focusing on firearms and stamina with almost nothing in electronics. Your stats suffer if you try to even the three out too much. Guns like the liberator that provide bonuses for using an even stat distribution are not very good. Armor is also very important as it gives a % dmg reduction against firearms. It caps out at 65% but you want to shoot for 50%+. You can see it from the inventory -> character -> survivability screen.

Heal skill(first aid) is an absolute must. Either use the damage buff/resist buff or the larger heal

The other skill should either be the damage pulse or the shock turret. Shock turret if you are weaker as it can buy you much needed time/distance against rogues.

The blue signature (survival link) is the absolute best for solo. It is so much more useful than the dmg or healing.

Craftable gold weapons/armor are the best way to gear up. the AK74 and vector are both from the vendor in the base and are some of the strongest weapons. The best weapon talents are the +headshot dmg and + crit dmg

The parking garage extract as well as the extract kiddy corner from the gas station in the first 2 zones are shitfests most of the time as they are fairly close to named elites so alot more people are there. Try using the bottom left one as a lot fewer people are there.

EDIT: For Talents

Top right and bottom right in the blue tree. 30% resist for kill while moving and headshot has a 50% chance to not consume ammo.

Bottom left and the one right above it where you get dmg resist for medkit at low health and your med kit applies to the group. The medkit applying to the group is currently bugged and also increases your medkits heal on you by 40%

If you are running the shock turret you will want to remove one, probably the 30% for kill while moving, and change it to the one in the yellow tree where it has a chance to shock all nearby enemies each time it shocks
