Correct. VIN number serial are not duplicated for the FRS between AT/MT, and are sequential. But the number may be duplicated for the Subaru BRZ and Scion FRS, that I should check on later.

Agreed. There's no reason to do mt and at runs separately both n the line and in terms of the vin.

I also doubt the serials numbers are separated for the frs and brz, there's no reason or it to be. It's just a different model as far as the vin Is concerned IMO.
