Did you try formatting it into fat32? The radio probably don't read exfat. Windows cannot format more than 32gb but a 3rd party software should let you.

Maybe try this http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/ind...?guiformat.htm

Thanks that exfat might be the issue. I'll give that program a try.

Am I retarded or something? I can't get my dash trim to clip in place over the unit, lol.

I had to test fit a few times until I got it right. Elongating the bracket holes to slide them forward.

Drill new holes into the existing brackets....need to move them back about 4mm for it to fit flush with the dash trim

I just enlarged the current holes on the right side bracket (radio side) so it slide a little backwards.

Well, there's gaps on the side of the radio with the 2016 BRZ radio dash panel, but I'm glad the panel fits over it. I was thinking I was gonna be running without a dash panel until getting a replacement panel that fits better. Lol.

Not sure where I want to route the new mic to yet. I have it temporarily coming out of the gap on the side of the radio and sitting in from of the instrument cluster.

I use it with an iPhone. Bluetooth streaming music works fine, as does voice calls and Siri. Running on the stock setup. Haven't rooted it or played with custom ROMs yet.

I have a 2016 BRZ, The stock HU sucks, which model did you buy? Does it have Navigation? Does back up camera work? Was it easy to hook up?

I installed it a couple of days ago, swapped pin 9 to 8, and dremelled down the pins on the bracket. Overall, for just a straight install it was pretty simple. It took maybe 30 minutes.
Nobody's really posted any instructions for a backup cam, but the trigger wire needs to be manually soldered to the correct pin on the existing harness, and I had to splice power as well. The harness I bought didn't have that.
Getting the software to work the way I wanted to is a pain though. In total, I've spent ~6-8 hours trying to get it to work the way I want it to, including flashing new roms and stuff. Most of this was me being curious, and playing around though. It's as complicated as you make it.
