Yup, had a black '94 VR-4. There's quite a few 3S owners here actually.

LOL. Love the build! WRB 15 BRZ, tom's tails. BRONZE 17*9 RPF1s with 245 RE-71Rs. Getting ready for the season: ordered Racer X oil cooler and rear upper control arms. Also ordered RCE Tarmac IIs...So exciting! Maybe I should think about doing one of these build threads...

Sounds like a similar build! Loving how my car is compared to stock, puts a smile on my face every time I look back at it after a drive

Welp, I'm signed up for a few track events this year already.

May 14-15 Shenandoah again
June 25 Putnam Park
Aug 1-2 VIR (at dusk/night, should be fun )

I plan on signing up for a DelVal BMWCCA event at NJMP and another two day at Shenandoah. If I have to buy the AP BBK after Shenandoah I'll probably skip the BMWCCA event as a participant at least.

Autocross Test N Tune this Sunday, then another two events on the April 16-17 weekend. Then a break until Shenandoah, I think.

Busy summer ahead

It was chilly yesterday (drove to the event with the car covered in an inch thick ice snow mixture that simply wouldn't come off without ruining the paint! It melted off while doing course walks and such, thankfully), but I had fun playing with car setup. I settled on 5 clicks front/6 clicks rear, 32psi hot front/28psi hot rear. Still at -2.6/-1.9 camber (f/r) and 0 toe/1/8" toe in (f/r again)

Did another autocross today... I drove much better today, only ~6 tenths off of a national level driver/car. I was 7 thousandths of a second out of second place though, grrr. Pretty darn close!

Properly sticky tires, these are, haha

Kinda figuring out this RWD thing finally. I need to settle down the rear a bit (ok, a lot...) I've also found that I need to use a LOT less brake. The whole car really seems to work better minimizing brake use. Carries more speed when it feels like it shouldn't, all because I wasn't unsettling the car. Really, really fun!

Got a Whiteline 20mm adjustable front bar on, that's not bad besides having to take the undertrays off for the hundredth time. Whiteline's new grease-free bushings are neat. No grease or teflon tape on the bar and not a single squeak or clunk, good stuff. Rides well too, which was my biggest consideration, tbh.

About the performance... It's noticeably more stable, but not by a huge amount. The car still rolls about the same and it will still kick the tail out if I'm aggressive on the throttle. I'm looking forward to my next autocross event now, I should be able to drive a bit more aggressively without having to baby the back of the car.

I feel more confident anyway, and I guess that's what matters lol
