Why do you nor have curb guards on your tires? Looks like you just curbed the shit out of it. Less likely to happen with curb guard tires. Least that's been my experience

When parallel parking scraping wheels against curb, it's not exactly is heard like "hit", as speeds are slow. At most rather just rubber rubbing against curb and masking scraping sounds of wheel. And even that rubber screeching can be a bit masked if one adds a bit more gas to get car further even with some resistance from that rubbing.

That person went through a lot of trouble to make it look like you curbed your wheels. And I've seen a lot curbed wheels in my day.

It's fixable. Just google 'curb rash repair' and you'll see before/after photos. if that was my wheel, i'd take it to a professional for a quote.

as others have pointed out, there's no way someone else did that to your wheel. that's classic curb rash right there - no doubt about it. google 'curb rash' and you'll see photos just like yours ranging from a tiny one-inch scrape to practically the whole wheel.

That's curb rash. Only possibility with a gouge like that.

Yes that was clearly done by the CAR hitting something, not something hitting your car.

"Yes Sir, I was drivin along and that curb just jumped right out and hit my wheel".

If you are positive that you did not do it, do you have anyone that would have been capable of joyriding in your car?

For most people the amount of curb protection that a tire provides is way down the list of things they consider when making a purchase.

That happened to me long ago when I had a WRX. I never would have guessed that a curb could be so sneaky. It clearly wasn't driver error

That wheel is done and so are the rest of the three. You need to buy a new set, I'll do you a favor and buy those garbage wheels off you.
