Car was scratched
Across two of the panels (right side door and front panel). Doesn't look super deep, and I'm hoping it could be white paint. Haven't tried removing it yet.
This happened at my apartment complex in my designated parking spot sometime between last night and this morning. What do I do? Shell out and repair it only to have it happen again in a few weeks? Also, I had the car opticoated, really hoping that this didn't screw all that up. What a crappy day.

call the police and have a report made. If your apartment complex has a video surveillance system, ask to see the video footage of the time in question (the police might have to be the ones to request it). If you find out who did it, kill them.

Thanks for the quick replies.
I called the insurance company just to set up a claim (likely will not file), let the landlord know as well. I park in a carport with about 10 spots and mine is near the door so it gets increased foot traffic! ![]() It does not look malicious, but I would very much like it to NOT happen ever again. Going to get a quote this weekend, door side scratches look easily removable and the front panel one is a bit deeper. Someone suggested I look into a car cover. Is this a good idea or will it draw more attention to what's underneath?

I doubt it was malicious if its in your complex, a car cover would save small little scrapes like that. I don't thunk it would draw much attention, not as much as a sexy car like that uncovered at least
