Scratched by BRZ. What should I do?

I scratched my car on a high curb while parking.
As you can see there's a huge scratch and some dent.
Fortunately the door isn't affected.

This scratched part connects back to the rear fender.
Would the whole panel have to be replaced?
Subaru parts page suggests it's not a one whole piece though I don't see how..
http://parts.subaru.com/a/Subaru_201...10-522-01.html

Any guesses on the estimates and how it'll affect my insurance premium?
Thanks guys!

Ouch... On a positive note, at least you missed the door. Looks like the whole side of your car will need to be replaced.

The fender is an easy replacement. Most shops will use a gun and pull out the damage then bondo over the original damage for the side.

Fortunately, you have a few option considering that it missed the door! The obvious answer is to take it to a shop so that they can fix it up with bondo and fresh paint. Since you will not be purchasing a new panel, it will be cheaper, but you should still expect to pay 300-700. It depends on your area, the going rate, and how bad it really is. Go around and ask for rates if you go with this route.

The other option you have is to buy some side skirts that will cover up the blemish. The STi's side skirt will definitely cover up a good majority of the damage. The only part that may still seep out would be the upper edge around where the door meets up with the other fender. You can pick some up from eBay for around 70-90 on eBay and put them on yourself. I have a pair from Bayson R on mine and fitment is fine. Their shop is actually located 20 minutes away from my place!

Good luck with whichever option you go with!

Is the scratch down to the metal?
Depending how how bad the scratch it, you might be able to buff it out. And for the dents, take it to a PDR (paintless dent removal) shop and see if they can pop it back out.

I would say 700 bucks max. I had a bigger dent on my rocker panel and it was like 400 bucks..
