Be glad it's in the plastic bumper and not on something metal

You'll forget about it eventually and it doesn't take away from driving the car!

I would buff hard as i can see it gets better.
just drive more and replace bumper or get it repainted because you'll see more rock chips and scratches than that

My last new car was "door bumped" on both sides within the first week of owning it. People suck.
I just had my first major scratch a week ago on the FRS when some jerkface entered into my lane sort of cutting me off when there was no room and as soon as he did some
black thing shot up and smacked my hood and windshield. It took the paint down to primer on a spot that was 1/8" x 3". I could have touched it up but it would bother
me every time I wash so I had the hood repainted. Almost $600 as they had to blend into another panel but it is flawless....again. I thought about just leaving it as it
might happen again but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. If you're putting a lot of miles on the car and a good chance it will happen again, I'd just buff it out and wait
til the damage is more significant and then respray. Mine was much worse and also slightly dented the hood so I couldn't take it.

When the pics were bigger it looked like tire tracks. More like motocross tires though.

I'm thinking a Jeep or something with the spare tire mounted on the rear gate, may leave marks similar to that

The could have been parked next to you and swung the gate wide and backhanded your bumper with the gate/tire

Probably these guys

Inlearned a long time ago I am much happyier that I generally dont car what my car looks like. Scratches suck, but they happen. Dents suck, but they happen. Honestly that isn't even that bad imo. But each person is different. I have a gash on my hood down to the metal and two scraoes on the back down to the black plastic (my car is white). That doesnt even touch the underside.

But I drive 20-30k miles a year so I expect shit like this to happen more often then others I guess

Some people are ok with dents and dings on their car and I am too, but only if I was the cause of the dings. If someone else caused it, I'm pissed.

Good thing we have a really rare car that doesn't depreciate otherwise I would be so pissed about this kind of stuff.

I figured that would be the case, I would rather damage due to road dirt than damage from another person though

even if I was parked on an autoX curse, I dunno who'd be running tires with treads like that on a course, according to the damage to my car aha

You think it could have also just been a Jeep that reversed a little too much and it's rear tire contacted my car? Cause the damage doesn't appear to be on any sort of angle

I agree 100% that it isn't that bad. Just bummed about the fact that my two week old FRS already was already mistreated :/

This is exactly me. I have a ton of swirl marks on the paint of my black rav4. It was because in the beginning I didn't know how to properly wash a vehicle by hand and I caused all those ugly swirl marks. I know how hard it is to maintain a black vehicle, that's why I'm pissed with someone else hitting my car.

I get your point, sarcasm or not, but I didn't think I'd have a dent on the car this fast. I guess better sooner than later...
