Little Front bumper damage

I got into a stop sign little incident. Is this worth the $500 deductable repair in insurance? Estimated cost of repair is $800. I think my license plate holder save my front bumper from gettin more damage. Thanks for your insight.

did they write to repair the cover or replace it? those spider cracks are a pain to repair and not show again down the road. just file the claim, thats what its there for. if there is additional damage behind the cover its covered as well and wont be more out of your pocket.

No damage behind the bumper. cuz what happened is so slow. Just the bumper it self. They'll just repair it, the scratches and damage. No replacement. That's why i'm kinda weighing if it's worth to pay the $500.

Man, same thing happened to me but on the highway someone ran over one of those big chunks of tire and flung it at my front bumper. Not as much damage as you got but I'm so OCD about things like that, I'm getting it repaired. The spider cracks are what really forced the issue for me. In the end, do what gives you peace of mind. If I were to leave mine how it is now, it would annoy me forever.

^^ agree. If it was just a few nicks and scratches I would leave it alone, as eventually that stuff will happen again from wear & tear, but those spider cracks, that would bug me to no end until I got them fixed.

A new body shop i found and had good reviews. Told my insurance to give them the assignment. They will replace the whole bumper. Hopefully, the paint color match will be successful.. Crossing my fingers. Car will be gone for two days. We'll see what will be he results by friday I think.
