It's a $25k car that offers lackluster performance, it's shit in traffic, and uncomfortable running errands in. The clutch engagement is annoying, needing to use the gas to get up a hill that an obese person could ascend without feeling winded is ridiculous, the cruise control can't hold it's speed on anything other than completely flat ground, brake feel akin to asking your s/o what they want to eat for dinner, and the gas pedal makes the car a complete starfish.

TL;DR The clutch pedal isn't good, the brake pedal isn't good, the gas pedal isn't good.

On a race track where you're engaging all those things a bit more actively that all disappears; you're fast on the clutch, you're hard on the pedal, and you're foot down on the gas at very very high RPMs.

Below 8/10ths this car is completely dead and useless.
I feel like if you were my neighbor, this would be you. You're fucking grumpy, man.

Pretty much this. All depends on what I'm doing. Working M-F? Car is parked for the week, then driven on the weekends. Time off from work? Car is the daily.

It's my only car. I would go nuts if I had to drive anything that doesn't have a similar feel to my 86.

I am not looking for entertainment from my clutch or brakes and have never found a need to give excessive gas to get up a hill (please elaborate on what cars do not need the gas pedal to go up a hill. I am curious). The seat is one of the most comfortable I have ever sat in and long drive or short jaunts are both a pleasure. My cruise holds my speed rock solid no matter what the terrain and since I use it about 12 hours a week I am pretty sure I know that as a fact.

Now go ahead with the standard "you are deluding yourself fanboy" response that I expect every single time I state that there are many like me that do not agree with your evaluation!

i love my racecar even though it...

- makes less than 200hp to the wheels
- squeaks/rattles like a shitty bedframe
- loud as fuck from the exhaust
- stiff as a boner
- so low it gets me nervous anytime i see anything in my lane, even a small twig
- has such a small trunk opening that all that space with the rear seats down is almost useless
- has a stupid ass 5x100 bolt pattern

... all so i can still have a blast commuting to work in 10mph traffic for an hour LOL. still makes me smile when i park and get out of the car
