Read the thread where you guys were discussing the VPS.
Not sure how I feel about the mis-match paint wise.

Will consider it on the front bumper and laminex the front lights at the end of the month.

X2 on what @FT_86_SM_GP said about VPS or similar.
I managed to get mine clear wrapped in-front and at the doorsills and mirrors by Supawraps before any major chips started showing up.
Very glad I did as I can already see a few marks on the wrap that would have chipped the paint.
Will give them a call sometime today.

Anyone have the ECU plug and play chip with pedal booster?
General thoughts on the forum about such?

I would personally steer away from any plug and play devices.
The ECU in the 86 is already so advanced that no additional hardware is required.

The tunes we provide simply overwrite the data on your ecu with an updated map. At the same time, your stock map is also saved so that if ever you need to flash back to stock (for services etc) that can be done.

Our map/tune also contains improvements to pedal sensitivity and response.
Not necessarily in overall power delivery, but more so in making the throttle response more similar to that of a Drive by Cable car.

I certainly wouldn't recommend increasing the sensitivity of your throttle pedal.
It's already a tail-happy car - do you like going backwards into the bush?

I track my car a lot, and there's no way I'd change the throttle response.
It's fine as is and allows me to feed power gently when necessary, or mash it when possible.

My 2c worth. YMMV

Agreed completely - 86 has been criticized for its over-sensitive throttle. You need BRZ Exhaust to really enjoy this car. It turns a sensible sportscar into a hooligan toy! And unlike many other mods - it's well priced and unlikely to hurt your warranty.

So almost 10 months with the car and still in love
Was reminded of thread as I finally achieved a personal best of 510km off a tank with 65% city driving, up from my starting average of 390-410

Tyre's changed.
Brakes getting done next week.
Extended maintenance plan.
Exhaust change planned.
Rims and Rear lights next on the list.

A chat with @PhoenixTech is also on the cards.

Just need to finally head onto the track. Hopefully December will allow

Again thanks for all the advice when I started on this adventure, still grinning like an idiot.

The track is where this car belongs! Picked mine up on a Wednesday and on Saturday I was already on the track

Only thing I am still getting used too is the rear suspension. Much "firmer" then the front especially over bumpers but I will get used to it I suppose. Gotten a back pillow for lumber support and it's like being on a cloud.

Still enjoying the car?!
Time for headers and a tune perhaps then you can use that suspension a little more. hehe

No jokes - the 2 best things I have done to mine so far are the headers + tune...

No torque dip drastically changes the way it feels to drive... just makes it so much more usable!
