Leaving at 2:30p to head East to retrieve -- as promised. Cut me a great deal on the 6 year warranty, too. LOVE the guys at Riverhead Bay Subaru. Can't wait to drive the BRZ home. Will be parked out front of Tratta in Bridgehampton tonight if anyone is out east and wants a look!

For anyone in the Long Island Area, Huntington Toyota had gotten their first FR-S a week ago and I test drove it today. It was the exact color and setup I wanted too (Whiteout + AT). xD The salesperson I dealt with openly admitted that she didn't know much about the car and since it just came in, she would be learning it as much as I was and she would find out as much as she could from the website or a senior sales person if I had questions she couldn't answer. I didn't want to make her uncomfortable so I chose to play dumb throughout the whole test drive. I enjoyed her honesty since all I've seen on this site were horror stories of salespeople blatantly lying about the car.

Though the key part is that there was no dealer mark-up and she was more than eager to let me drive that car and really let me get a nice feel of it down the expressway. Since they're competing with the Porsche and BMW dealerships across the street, they probably couldn't afford to rip people off on it. xD I already left a deposit on the Whiteout, but I saw that they had an Asphalt in the other lot if anyone is interested in taking a look. The salesperson was called Jasmine.

That's not to be confused with Liberty Toyota! I hope they aren't related... Liberty Toyota is in Burlington, NJ.

I was just there today to see an FR-S advertised on autotrader at MSRP. They tried to sell it to me at $32K+!!! $5K was added on for MAV (market adjustment value), and the rest was for terrible and over-priced options added on at the dealership, such as pin-stripping, lo-jack, paint & cloth protection, hazard, etc.

Waste of my time. I think I'm leaning back towards a Subaru... if I can find one!

If you're looking for a Silver Premium Auto, Ruge's Subaru in Rhinebeck, NY has one!

+1 - Props to Liberty Subaru for having two 6-MT limiteds in stock, particularly a SSM which I picked up yesterday. On top of that, I got it for $200 LESS than MSRP. What's even better is that I didn't have to negotiate. I just called to be sure that they had it in stock (to confirm the online inventory status) and to ask what their price was, since many other dealers are marking their stock up. The salesman said, "well, we were selling them at MSRP till today." I was thinking, "great, here comes another fucking swindler." And he was like, "I could knock a couple hundred bucks off of it for ya." Then, I had to make sure I was hearing him correctly. What's more, it was the first SSM I was able to find!

Overall: Great experience. Highly recommended. If anyone is interested, they still have two on their lot, as of today, both are WRB; one 6-MT limited, the other an auto. That's Liberty Subaru in Emerson, NJ. I dealt with Damon. Give them a call.

Plaza Scion in Brooklyn, NY. I bought the only one they had for now. They're getting more in and can do orders. They honor the pure price and Carlos was a great salesman. Excellent service, no BS.
