Very rarely does it jump to 29+. This only happens when I go from full throttle to nothing and it will briefly jump above 28.5 before leveling back.

A question about motors, if it was damaged, could this be a symptom or would it just stop working completely? From my limited understanding, if it is partially working then it is most likely the power source (and one of those .5 packs could be the issue).

In the morning I will try remapping to one of the newer Procede maps I've been wanting to try and clean the intake filter on the off chance it is super clogged and causing the ESC to be unable to suck as hard.

Most likely the motor isn't bad. If it was bad I doubt it would sound the way it did. The voltage item sticks out to me because a battery pack that's bad would result in a charge above 29.

That's a good point. I don't think I've seen charges above 29 until recently.

I'd say take apart the battery pack and test each battery. If you need a .5 pack I have two batteries.

Can you give more detail on testing the packs? Do I just use a separate the batters, use a volt meter, attach it to both terminals and it should give a certain range?

Also thanks for your help at this late hour

On the subject of batteries, I've got the old Powersonic setup and I've noticed that my voltage has been sitting around 29 pretty consistently, so I'm thinking about switching to the Rev 2 batteries.

Do I need new cables or anything else to convert from the old batteries to the new ones?

From Rob's e-mail, he suspects:

"with those voltmeter values.....looks like there is no dump pack/bad dump connection/bad battery connected. or one of the three motor wires is poorly connected."

I reconnected the 3 color wires incase but they were fairly snug. Next steps will be to test voltages.

Out of curiosity, have you felt your boost "weakening" at all from when you first got it? It can easily be placebo or even slightly different gas mixtures but I feel like my boost has been diminishing over the course of the last 6 months.

Oh definitely triple check the 3 connectors going to the compressor. I have them connected, very gently crimped (i mean GENTLY), then taped individually to seal, then zip tied so there is nothing pulling on them.

Interesting... what batteries are you on? Some logging will easily confirm/deny su dyno de culo. Post em when you get a chance, that'll be valuable info.

I've got the lightened compressor wheel and updated controller without the drag reduction hose thing, so I think that's V2?

I've noticed that I seem to be capped around 4 psi these days; could just be that I'm not really engaging boost down low. It doesn't seem noticeably slower or anything; I probably wouldn't have noticed if not for my logs. I've confirmed that my procede is reading the throttle correctly, so without taking everything apart to test, I'm guessing one of the dump batteries may be on the way out. The higher-than-normal reading on the voltmeter seems to corroborate with that.

Keep in mind that most people only get above 4 psi at very low RPMs. Anything above 4psi at greater than 3.5K RPM is a bonus.

Fwiw Temperature and altitude will also effect boost pressure. PV=RT.

On ecutek I saw the MAP read .33 bar (4.8 psi) between 3-4k rpm. I wasn't driving the tuner was but he didnt hit WOT that low. At 7.5k it read .1 bar (1.5 psi). V1 kit with Big Crank batteries.

That was 45-50 F and sea level in FL.
