Probably shouldn't boost in 6th at least I wouldn't imo. Puts alot of load on the engine.

Looks like you have some mild knock as well.
yeah..i was just messing around a bit and noticed when i looked volt meter doesnt go back to 28.xx quickly

Define "quickly" lol. When I did quarter mile runs it would be back to 28.5 by the time I got my timeslip so 1-2 minutes. On the street a single gear pull like 2nd its back in like 10-20 seconds it seems. Its 27.1, 27.2, 27.3 .....etc to 28.5 like 0.1 per second.

lol i know what you mean.
i was talking about comparing charging time between lower gear vs 6th gear.

That charging time is actually a good thing. It also means that it takes a while to discharge, which means boost lasts longer. My audio batteries charge quick, but they drain quick too. By the time I get to 50% boost, they have already drained to 21-22 Volts. I haven't seen them drop below 20 volts yet. Maybe if I ever take it to the salt flats, or a really long track, they would drain lower. I've ordered a 4th audio battery and will be relocating 2 of the Big Crank batteries to my trunk to run my car and accessories, while I will be mounting 4 of the Shuriken audio batteries up front to run the ESC. I'll let you know how it goes next week.

Yeah let us know for sure. Be interesting if the voltage drop is less.

Hey guys, recently something happened to my ESC, wondering if you guys could me debug. I have the v2 kit and Procede as well and it has been good for almost 2 years.

In the last few days I have had some issues where when I full throttle, I would get a momentary boost and suddenly it would stop. I think it was intermittent but today I put it to the test and yes indeed it was not going full boost.

I took 3 videoes,
1. 6th gear, full throttle: https://goo.gl/photos/fc3hUwHr58vtnJjq5
2. 2nd gear, full throttle: https://goo.gl/photos/HTkrCdJSaKd9KYnW9
3. car off, full throttle. https://goo.gl/photos/hJrXuahE8q6zKEA39

In the 6th and 2nd gear videos, the voltmeter drops to 20 and immediately goes back up to 26 and maintains that until I release the peddle and it begins climbing back up to normal 28. I can definitely still feel the boost in the second gear full throttle but it is more muted than before. In the car off, it goes to 26 and maintains that until I release the peddle. I can also hear the ESC spinning when the car is off and it definitely is not going full speed.

My first guess would be my batteries need to be replaced and they cannot get the ESC motor to full boost (where the volt meter reads below 20). Second guess would be something is wrong with the ESC motor, hopefully not. Another possibility is the Procede is not reading it is in full throttle although this seems less likely.

Has anyone seen this before or have any input on what the issue can be? Thanks.

In all 3 cases, it seems like the ESC would only get to about 50% boost, where voltmeter only drops to as low as 24 from 28.3. I can definitely still feel the boost in the second gear full throttle but it is more muted than before.

I would rule out the procede first. Connect a laptop and see how it registers.

Hooked up the laptop and did a reading on the load. Full throttle read out 80% which is normal I believe =/.

Yes, along the bottom row since the car was off and the RPM was 0 (cut off from camera angle)

So if it moved all the way to the right then We should be good. Do a quick test while driving and see how high up it goes. We just want to rule out the procede completely.

Unfortunately I think the Procede is not at fault and the fix not so simple.
I took a few full throttle runs to see where the Procede was reading and it looked to be correct:

I e-mailed Rob to see if he can shed light on the issue.
I hope it is as simple as replacing the batteries.

If you were flooring it... It doesn't look like it was registering full throttle. There's a way to remap throttle position but I would first suggest loading any map and seeing what happens.

On one of you videos I saw that the batteries were going up to 29.2 volts. How long does it stay there?

Based on everything and (I agree the procede seems unlikely) I think one of the .5 packs are bad.
