That battery does nothing for the chip in a regular key car. RFID requires no power

Dealer time, if you still have roadside assistance, but this is gonna be something you end up paying out of pocket for repair wise. Last thing I can suggest is push start.

Yeah that's what it's gonna come down to taking it to the dealer because everything else just isn't working. Sucks that this is what I have to come home to.

Too bad that didn't fix it.

A new battery is not really a waste of money, it most likely would have been necessary sooner or later.

Especially in the case of an optima red top that's way better than stock anyway

I don't have a ton of mechanical experience, but this really sounds like an issue with the immobilizer. Maybe try using your other key to start it and see if that works? If it doesn't, worst case scenario it could be an issue with the ECU. But again, I don't have a ton of experience, but this sounds like other situations I've stumbled across

So it's come to that time where we have exhausted every possible thing it could be that would cause the car not to start and nothing and I mean NOTHING! Will work. Checked clutch sensor: NOTHING
key fob: NOTHING
Brand new battery: NOTHING
Any unplugged cables: NOTHING

Nothing will work. I hope the dealership doesn't give me crap about my tune which should nothing to do with the reason it won't start. The red light won't stop blinking even when the car is unlocked so I'll have to tow it to the dealership and cross my fingers they don't flag my car
