What does "truth" actually mean? If one's mind was blown what would be left to describe the experience? Would it have actually happened? If only there was something I could study to help answer these questions...

Yep, and we are some of the highest paid professors, particularly for the social sciences. Marketing strategy, services, advertising, and consumer behavior are some interest areas.i don't know why this PhD surprises anyone.

I took some of these classes as electives. The stuff is mind blowing. Just the coverage of timing scene changes in Tv/movies/commercials is enough to make you kill your tv.

Fascinating and I'm glad I took those extra courses. I understand how someone could have a Phd, there is a lot of content there and it's pretty close to a sociology or psychology degree I assume. Scary stuff though in some respects.

I took a couple related courses back in the 80s. Still, as recently as last weekend, my brother and I wondered out loud if all that stuff actually works or if we're just more immune because we're aware of it.

I feel more immune at times, and less at others. I can't be in a room with a tv; it 100% distracts me; it's like there is nothing I can do about it.

I'm the king of the mute button. Otherwise, I can't stop myself from deconstructing them.
