Have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Was Mechanical engineering for two and a half years, but after a semester of Calc 3 and Statics, I knew better than to stick it out. Physics just wasn't my thing, especially with no prior experience before college.

I understand that. I had two homes while in school: the music building (for the first career -- lots of practicing and also a lot of farting around with other majors) and the DNA lab (for the second career). I spent a lot of time sequencing lizards when I was young as well. Oh wait you mean actual lizards. Never mind.

Two years in computer science; found out that i couldn't program worth a damn, so switched to aerospace engineering and got my b.s. in that. Got an m.s. in engineering & production management (picked it because it wasn't as hard-core, and i just wanted a bump in pay/promotion). currently a scientist/engineer in the space & intelligence/defense sector - 24 years at the same company this march.
wife has a phd in biochemistry.

Doctoral Student of what? That is a pretty broad term.
i.e.:
Landscape architecture PHD: As offered by Edinburgh College of Art, it is a 36-96 months part time course. Under this course research student are offered with core support course to train them in basic research skills and methodologies. It covers topic and issues like history of the discipline and development of a theoretical basis for practice; current research takes account of cultural diversity; perception of landscape and space; exploitation of new ways to enhance access and minimize barriers, etc

Mine is sort of like that, but not part time and at least four years. I'm getting my PhD in Marketing, which I a broad term, I guess.

Ahhh that was my son's field of study. Not at a PhD level but he did very well.

Pack: Bachelors in international relations. Loved it. covered economics, sociology, public policy, speech, some psychology and bit of journalism. Working on teaching credentials and masters.

Sky: B.A. in nursing and minor in economics. Currently a RN. Hated being in school. Done.
