It's hard to get 300whp without E85 for either kit. However, the Jackson Racing does have the option for their high boost pulley. I prefer to stay far far away from most of Kraftwerkz products because I've heard nothing but horror stories about their products. Not to include their belts snap easy on the supercharger kit. I agree with everyone above that the true question is Jackson or Edelbrok. And at that point its;
if you want centrifugal supercharger go jackson. Twin Screw go Edelbrok. I believe you still have some research to do about both of these kits. Many people around here in norcal86 run either Jackson Racing supercharger or the SBD turbo kit. I believe we have 1 member who just got the Edelbrok installed and I should ask him how he likes it. I know everyone who has FI loves their JRSC and SBD kits. We have a guy running 450+ whp on a SBD and it's still running perfectly fine.

For supercharging, there's really no choice but the Edelbrock SC!

I love how there's names being flung around but no data or pictures.

Since no one has gone over the cons in a bullet format I think I will to the best of my ability having read every page of both the owners threads and being current with both:
JRSC Cons: -many report clearance issue with the tube the runs over the SC (easy fix) -"cannot" run the C38 (personally I don't think you should with a non built engine) -if you belt fails you're stranded (rare for the JRSC, I believe I have only seen it once) KWSC Cons: -Cogged belt is noisy (not very noisy when tensioned correctly but very compared to JRSC) -Tensioning is done manually which is a PITA (in my opinion, most owners don't mind it) -their divorced belt system is a solution to a problem caused by running a cogged belt which just breaks constantly (this can be alleviated by not shifting hard or driving the car too hard) -the piping doesn't fit well with monogram or 10 series FR-S' or GT-86's because of their headlights, it will be pinched -Oil cooler is not thermostatic and you are forced to run their oil cooler because their SC bracket makes it impossible to run anything else (except for the OEM Forester oil cooler I believe which is a very nice solution for cold weather and street only driving) -I won't say bad customer support but inconsistent (some owners swear by their support and say they've never had better, others say it is a nightmare) -Intercooler pushes up against the bumper in the FR-S and GT-86 so it requires some cutting (kit was designed around the BRZ so it has less issues than the FR-S and GT86) JRSC Pros: -OEM belt style drive means it's no louder than OEM (the only added noise is associated with the SC) -thermostatic oil cooler -oil cooler fitment KWSC Pros: -black housing available for the Rotrex -Factory map included is scaled for the HB pulley already -extremely easy to upgrade to the C38 and KW offers a great exchange price when you turn in your C30 Personal injects: I went with the JRSC because even though the KW looks better in your engine bay IMO, the JRSC is a more OEM solution because of noise and boost levels. I do not like KW's attitude about boost, they feel perfectly fine letting people run C38's on stock bottom ends and even stock fuel systems as long as they are not running E85. I am not saying they are wrong, I personally just think a stock bottom end should not run more than 300 bhp. JR aligned more with my philosophy so I chose them. If you are fine with pushing 13 psi through your stock bottom end, then you simply see things differently from me and the choice is yours. I won't tell you you're wrong, I'll just tell you that I won't be doing that. I also think JR's CARB tune is much better than KW's and I have to run the CARB tune because of the state I am in so this matters to me, but if you don't.... lucky. Hope this kind of helps? I am with the general response about the real question should be JRSC or Edelbrock, not JRSC vs. KWSC. I have many reasons why but I am trying to keep my personal feelings out of it. If I am wrong someone will correct me

I am truly amazed that KW has not yet added a spring tensioner, seems like it would be a cheap easy solution to owners improperly tensioning belts and might mitigate failure. This alone would be enough for me to skip right over KW and on to other kits.
