Jackson Racing C38 Supercharger System Now Available!

We are happy to announce we now offer a C38 version of our FR-S/BRZ supercharger system now. And it is CARB legal. Pick your poison.

Our CARB systems produce the same power, C30 or C38.

That makes sense it just gives us the room to make a ton more power by getting a different tune compared to the c30. And for people who don't necessarily want to swap out parts for carb its as simple as swapping maps

Same power as in peak numbers? Or are the curves ~exactly the same?

It is not a tune issue. It is a octane and knock threshold issue. All these supercharger kits are limited by knock on pump gas and thus can only achieve a certain power level before having to pull timing.

The c38 allows you to achieve higher boost and power on higher octane than the c30 does.

If someone is sure they are staying on pump gas, the c38 will not be any better than a c30.

The simple answer is: CARB exemption. If it meets that, then the specifications are fairly specific to meet those requirements. No tune/map is going to suddenly turn this kit to power level over 9000. Of course, if you want to do that, then the steps needed to make that power are similar to how you would improve power output with the C30 unit. For example, increasing boost pressure somehow correlates to improved power output...

What supporting mods would you recommend, if any, for someone who never plans to track their car?

The C38 kit with intercooler seems like it would be enough as is!

Edit:
Also, are most people receiving E-tunes with ECUtek? or are yall going to tuners with dynos?
What features do you get with Ecu-tek? can you read AFR's and such?

No supporting modifications are needed with our Factory Tuned C30 or C38 systems. Everything required for the system to run perfect on a stock car is included.

The Factory Tuned systems include EcuTek ProECU Programming Kit and our Jackson Racing Flash Drive with CARB Calibration. The Factory Tuned system is our more common system choice.

EcuTek allows you to datalog many parameters of the system, but requires a laptop to be hooked up to datalog.
