Not going to a turbo. I have had no luck with such setups on any car I've owned due to either mechanical failure or just plain shit luck. The goal is 11s on a 210 kit.

11s is a big stretch on that kit. A turbo setup is much easier to make fast. But anyway...

Forget about cams, because there are no fully tested cams with proven results available. This is due to already limited clearance using the stock cams. Get an intercooler, fix your slipping clutch, get a good set of mickey street ET's, then put $5000 -8000 away to cover swapping your transmission to something else when it eventually breaks on you from all the hard launches you're doing at a strip with sticky tires.

Oh, budget for a few set of axles too. I'd give 5 to 10 launches at the HP level needed to run 11's before one breaks off. These cars need a ton of maintenance to run 11's because of the weak drivetrain. Once you have your upgrades and transmission contingency, if you're still running that supercharger expect to settle on mid to low 12's. Not trying to sound mean or anything, just being realistic. There is a reason all the 86's running 11's are turbo cars.

Theres a difference between being able to run 11s. And run 11s constistantly.

Overbuild. You want to run 11s all the time without breaking anything? Build for 10s.

Clutch has been fixed since the track was closed, forgot to mention that in the previous post. I'm using an ACT SB7XTSS HD Clutch and Streetlite Flywheel in the place of the OEM combo. I've got some 17x8 wheels awaiting a good drag tire. I've got some money and i'm getting some more at tax time so I might buy the big Sprintex kit.

So my friend told me about a company by name of Outfront Motorsports. I'm considering having an engine built by them, since they built his friend and local car club member's engine and he runs... Well, Lets just say enough power to destroy the 1000 HP DSS axles he has and make his STI Transmission Input shaft let go.

Lets talk about the original idea behind this thread. I'm looking for enough power to make 11s or high 10s on Kill mode in an FRS, with DD capability on a detuned map, on E85. I think that 550-600 RWHP will be enough to get there easily with a full weight FRS.

Is there an existing kit that will make that kind of power and have reliability on E85 on a built motor with a GT3576R or similar turbo? Would I be better off with a high mount turbo as opposed to a low mount turbo?

I would like to set the car up with:

1000cc Port Injectors
An appropriate Fuel pump (TBD, and open to suggestions)
GT3576R or similar turbo with V-band downpipe to a 2.5" or 3" exhaust, depending on needs,
10.5:1 Compression (Again, TBD/Open for suggestions)
700+ HP supporting axles
Built or Swapped Trans (thinking T56 or similar if I can't find a good trans builder)
E85
Some sort of coilover upgrade and suspension mods to put the power down
Drag Radials or Slicks (obviously not running these times on Street tires)

Outfront is definitely the goto place for WRX/STI blocks these days. In the end the FA20 is a Subaru block so I would trust them to build one the right way, they have a ton of experience.

High 10s vs. high 11s is an entirely different story. You can do high 11s with a bunch of different kits out of the box. P&L, MAP, JDL, PTuning, etc. Some of the kits like P&L and JDL are agnostic to turbo, just call them up and tell them you want a 3576R instead of the turbo they usually supply, although some tweaking might be needed to make it fit.

I like the PTuning undermount setup and their kit is very complete. It's a 3076R and with more boost on E85 and a built engine could probably make 500WHP. It's not going to get you to 10s but might be close.

Yeah, that's what I'm gathering.

This intrigues me, But I'm sure that if i'm going to build a motor i'm going to shoot for the moon.

I honestly think this is the wrong platform for your goals, but I bet you can do it. Stickier and wider in back. Skinnier in front. Lightening. Suspension mods. Some aero. Nitrous. Then you are good until you break something.
