STI 17x7.5 wheel swirl under sunshine?

hi guys,

just purchase some new shoes for my car and the sti wheels is brand new havent install tires or whatsoever. i just wondering did anyone notice the black paint have minor swirl mark while you looking under sunshine? as i dont think this is usual when it is build by enkei. or i am just 2 ocd and every gloss black wheels come like that?

They've been wiped down/dried or washed. Super thin paint and clear on them.

The swirls on the spokes looks like something was stored on top of the wheel. Maybe another wheel with cardboard between them. The other ones, look like they were cleaned with a dirty microfiber. Are they actually brand new? Or just new to you?

there's cardboard which traditional enkei use it on the top and bottom of the wheels others than that it is brand new according to the dealer and i cant see any tire mount history from it.

I picked up a set a while ago and gave them a wash but on two of them I used a very soft scourer style sponge which I have used a thousand times on wheels but on the STI rims it came out looking like your ones. Still shiny but on closer inspection it's noticeable, and yes it's doing my head in

That's probably what its from then. The cardboard may have had some dust on it, when they stacked the wheels on top of each other, they could have moved just enough to cause swirls. You could try to use some polishing compound on them and see if that helps

did you pick up a new set as well and it happened to yours as well?
I have just un-box only not even washing it yet... sigh

I bought mine used with only a couple of small marks on them..

Once they're washed and fitted you'll love em, no one will notice except you, trust me But still Subaru should've known better with packaging, even Rota have better packing..

they have already got the white glove cover the wheels like the rpf1 does but still... oh well
didnt know that gloss wheel will be that easy to scratch compare with the other wheel or did i just get lemon...
