Nice color too. If the wife didn't need a larger car, we'd definitely get one of those. We shall see what happens to the value over the years.

I wouldn't expect them to drop very quickly. Dealers will be putting 1-2 year old models on their lots with asking prices only a few thousand off of the brand new ones.

I would expect this one to be in higher demand than the NC. There's probably a fair amount of pent-up demand for this car. There are a lot of NA and NB owners who may have wanted a new Miata but didn't want the NC.

The good thing about Miatas is that there's not a significant difference between the generations. They all drive very similarly (this is intentional) and don't really have a huge performance jump (if any) from generation to generation. So if you've got an NA or NB you're not really missing out by just keeping it and waiting out the NC's production run.

Thanks! Ceramic Metallic is an awesome color. Vacillates between silver and white depending on the light.

Current definition of "rice" (since at least the late 1990's):

"If I don't like it, it's rice"

Alas, there is no definition, but it's become simply an insult, if you don't like what someone else did to their car. With 100% certainty, someone out there thinks my car is "rice".

After how they reported MH370, I wouldn't put it past CNN to actually do a report like that.

Well yeah rednecks think everything that was made or come from Japan is "rice". That being said, I'll post mine any day as it was done with class.

The term most often refers to vehicles manufactured in East Asia, where rice is a staple food."

By this we are all Ricers.

Post 90s term definition:
A person who makes unnecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):

- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performance intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports
The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.

By this most on here are at least some what rice.

Loud mostly useless exhaust with big tips. Mine is loud but serves a purpose at least
Useless spoiler (even if not huge) stock spoiler, wouldn't mind not having any
Intake that just makes a cool noise and little else I actually need the extra air/cooling
Tinted windows in Canada where they serve a practical purpose about 4 days a yearI'll give you that one but still those 4 hours in the middle of summer get very hot
Lowered for no good reason other than looksHUMMMM RACERCAR
Eventually will have fancy new rims for appearance only I needed bigger wider tires to put the power down.

I AM THE VERY DEFINITION OF RICER!!!!!!I am not, although I do enjoy rice, the food, a lot
I'm awesome, you're not!
