Headers are loud. Unless you keep everything stock...but even then they are loud. So make sure you know what your getting into. A lot of guys here chase after hp and sacrifice everyday driving comfort.

Headers just have a better performance per dollar, same with a good tune and E85

You're the first red 2016 twin I've seen on this thread. Not many people have a red 2016 FR-S, much less a 2016 BRZ.

Nice!!!! I live about 15 minutes from WKU. I've driven the corvette track (in a different vehicle) and its a great facility!!! It's a tight track so I really think the FR-S will be a blast!!!! |

This is such an "opinion based" question.
I've driven quite a few more km/miles... and my plan is to do the following; I want safe, reliable power, but enough to have some proper fun and beat the odd GTi. SC - Harrop or Edelbrock for me. (Obviously with a good quality tune). EL Header (personal preference, but the SC will sort out the torque, and I prefer the EL sound over the UEL rumble). Catback - I like the HKS light weight Spec-L + it's sound. Adding the SC weight I guess it helps to save some with the Header/Catback/Wheels. Wheels.. not sure which ones just yet, but looking at 17's just with more width so I can a) save weight and b) have a some wider rubber for my SC upgrade. I've already got some Valenti tail lights and a shark fin antenna. Wish list for the rest... A front splitter/side skirts for some cool looks. Perhaps some coilovers. - though I will really be on the street most of the time, so not sure it's really worth the expense.

86 South Africa: to comfort mods you may consider also adding backup rear camera & armrest. These two are mods i were most happy about from non-performance mods, when i installed them alongside top 3rd brakelight, sidemirror autodeploy/close on start or lock, mudflaps ..

OK, one question off topic about appearance, while I am also going to get matte black wheels (I think it would look sharp on red), what does everyone think about black tips and does anyone even offer them? I guess I can have them powdercoated if necessary.

I am in Bowling Green, too. Here is mine.
Almost finish with the mods. By the way, I have a used HIC rear window visor giving away for free, let me know if you want. Last edited by g88824074; 12-04-2015 at 04:56 PM. |
