Review || DIF/FRSport replacement seat rail hardware w/ metric bolt head
I had to take out my passenger side last month, and realized that the factory seat rail bolts needs a E10 Torx socket to remove. The head is incredibly easy to strip/round if you have the wrong hardware.
I do plan on installing aftermarket bucket seats in the future, and needed a better solution that minimizes the amount of tools I have with me. Turns out, one of the vendors on here already has a product to replace the seat rail bolts. @FRSport.com carries a replacement seat bolt for this car. The bolt itself is same size/thread as the factory bolt, but uses a larger 14mm bolt head. The included washers will come in handy when I install aftermarket seat rails. Something worth taking a look at if you fear stripping your OEM seat rail hardware or otherwise take out your seats on a regular basis. http://www.frsport.com/DIF-10585-Gra..._p_282801.html -alex Edit: E10 Torx socket available from FRSport as well: http://www.frsport.com/Lisle-26820-T..._p_281610.html Last edited by mav1178; 06-12-2017 at 09:07 PM. |

Just wanted to let anybody know with the same issue these bolts from McMaster Carr work as well. OEM bolts thread size & pitch is M10 x 1.25 mm and 28 mm long. The McMaster bolts use a 14 mm hex head bolt which should be less likely to strip.
