I would wait at least 48 hours and then go through a wash with an undercarriage spray, it seems to me it's supposed to bead up and the excess will come off on it's own. It's not like it's doing anything wrong to the car, it seems like a legitimate way to prevent rust

Okay, so, it was legit apparently, I have one picture I can attach. I got them to clean the stuff off in the locations I cared about "looking nice" ie; the inside of the trunk, doors and parts of the engine, anything underneath I don't really care about having the yellow stuff as I won't be looking under there ever, it's all galvanized steel anyway, so long as I keep the car clean it shouldn't rust easily in the spots I had it removed.

By the way, I know that the Krown stuff leaves oil and stuff, but isn't it supposed to kind of, wash off/drip off from what I've heard?

The excess will drip off but the rest remains. What good would "wash off" rust proofing do you if the whole point is to keep water out?
From the pic though they did a really sloppy job applying it to your car. I would not be impressed either.
