Might be able to squeeze another couple of hps, so largely unnoticeable.

Custom tunes usually get you a bit more power and possibly fuel economy. They're usually more reliable if not.

Are you guys on the 403 or YYC FB groups? Might be faster for me to contact you guys there about more specific little things when they come up.

Pardon thus uninformed question: could you get more batteries to get a much longer boost duration?

After two grueling months of no boost...

[ame]http://youtu.be/0IJ59WY8fF4[/ame]
Holy shit. Night and day difference. I was so used to having no power, I forgot how powerful the ESC is. Finally don't have to rev my car to 7k rpm and look like an asshat just to go up these SF hills.

I can definitely relate lol. You get use to it and forget how amazing it can be until you no longer have it anymore.

you can but it will be a custom battery setup, with a remote starter battery. Which may interfere with the warranty of the Phantom from Rob. As far as I know I am the only one running such a setup with 2 sets of the original dump packs in parallel. Shiv and Rob both tried it out as a prototype setup, but decided against it due to the complexity. I don't usually drive too hard, or take it to the track, but I have never run out of boost. If I ever have the spare money to try out the proceed, I think it will be a better test of duration.

Cool. That's really my question here: can you make this track ready.

I think the improvements have made it more able to stand up to short track events, and larger batteries should improve duration. It will largely be track and race length dependent, but using the ESC in it's current form for multiple consecutive laps while trying to maintain a consistent time will probably never work out. It's like running a whole race on Nitrous. If short enough and metered properly you will end the race with a little to spare, if not then it will eventually run out, and even with higher capacity, when it does run out you will have to lug these now useless, heavy bottles/batteries around for the rest of the race. And that's not taking into account thermal issues with the controller/recharger (though advancements have reduced the chances of this).
