many FR-S on the road ?

Will the FR-S be rather common on the road in a year or two, that you will see one every corner? (exaggerating, but you know what I mean)

Its a win win either way.

If they do not become super common: Then we all have sexy distinct looking cars compared to the rest on the road.

If they get hugely popular: Cool, more performance parts will be made. The bigger the market for this car the cheaper (typically) everything gets. Also finding replacement items such as taillights become easier and cheaper.

My prediction is yes. We might see one 86 in every 15 min driving by next year. Within 5 years, I predict there will be 1 infront, 1 left, 1 right, & 1 in the back at traffic jams Unless Honda, Nissan, Mazda come up with comparable cars.

In comparison to other sports cars? Yeah, they'll probably be a bit more common.

In comparison to other cars? Not a chance. ~20k a year is a drop in the bucket compared to SUV and sedan sales.

That's the end-game.

But yeah, it's kind of hard to say how popular they will be. I don't think they will be as common as multi-model cars like the Eclipse or Genesis Coupe or Mustang but they will likely end up being more common than the RX-8 or S2000.

I hope they become common. Common equals cheap maintenance/replacement parts and lots of support from the aftermarket.

Yeah probably like s2000 common. Maybe even SI common in a few years. I wish it wouldn't so it can maintain that sexy/ exotic look like the supra that still breaks my neck and makes my jaw drop everytime.
