The girlfriend think my exhaust is too loud.

So I decide to do something to save the relationship.

I plan to cover the trunk and doors. These might add about 10 lb weight, not too bad.

Good luck - I did a lot of stuff to reduce my old exhaust's aggressive drone and almost nothing worked except a silencer or a new exhaust. Drone usually is resonance of the exhaust pipe itself and nearby components rather than anything in the car you can deaden.

Let us know how it goes!

Will try it. I will also uput some on the door to reduce the road/wind noise on highway. Only 10+lb not too bad. So worth to try.

Finally a part that's not going to be stock anymore. Hopefully I'll be able to install it this weekend!

Alright, as promised, some photos.

Alright, I finished up everything today actually.

I had installed the EUL headers, S pipe, Straight pipe, together with the catback electro valve exhaust I had.

The result was....just a non pleasent and super loud noise.

as soon as the rpms hit 3000, it was like...just stupid noise coming out of my gt86's ass.

So I was like, screw that. So I ended up taking off the straight pipe, and putting back the one with the cat and noise reduccion box pipe.

To my relief, the noise changed from a stupidly loud moped sound, to a deep growl but still as loud as with the aftermarket straight pipe once I hit 6000+ rpms, which I'm fine with that...it should be loud if I decided to rev up that high, haha.

Anyway, i'm super happy with the setup now, there is absolutely no torque dip anywhere now, and the car really goes.

Here is my current setup:
Crawford Power blocks
Perrin 3.0 CAI
EUL Headers+S pipe+Catback exhaust
Stage 2 tune for EUL headers on 95 pump gas
19" wheels, 245/35 front, 255/35 rear
Border shocks
front / rear strut bars
under chasis 7 piece brace kit
7 piece light weight pulley kit
Carbon fiber Driveshaft

I changed out the transmission fluid and the diferential fluid....boy just at 2000 miles, they were both BLACK GOOE, just discusting. Advice to everything to change their fluids and put something for higher performance in there.

Yeahp, that's it for now. i'll be installing the Edelbrock SC in December, already placed order. Super stoked for this!!!!! Christmas present, haha.

Cheers to all!
