![]() The sales guy was a total ass about saying no to returning the stock wheels to the vehicle. I hope it just sits and rots there till they have to return its stock wheels to make the sale - I already bought my FR-S at Cabe Toyota in Long Beach... Buena Park can kiss my exhaust pipes. What a way to ruin a perfectly awesome car.

Only common in Florida, man. I feel bad for you guys... If I lived down there I'd be driving up to GA or AL and buying one at MSRP.

We got a dealer here in San Antonio. Alamo Scion, that has one that they want $4k markup on. It's still in the showroom. Been there for almost a week. Nobody is that stupid to pay $4k markup on a Scion!

I got you all beat! $7K markup at Folsom Lake Scion! They had a Lava FR-S with the dealer tag at MSRP. They had put on some 5 spoke black wheels and were insisting on it being $32K for the car. They literally turned their back on me and the other salesmen started laughing at me when I said I could buy this car at MSRP anywhere else.
Tony the manager wouldn't even as much as walk my way or look at me. I was ready to buy at MSRP. Not one salesman had any other customer in the office. Not one person was busy by any means. So ridiculous. I think I'm just going to wait till they're more readily available to not have to deal with dealers. |

Just do an Autotrader search. I saw a Whiteout FR-S for sale on Autotrader for $23980....You just got to go outside of you state or city. You will be able to find one. There are some dealers selling below MSRP.

This is how I found mine and they took off $500 off MSRP just because. They even gave me what I wanted for my trade. Needless to say I left very happy!

Ugh, these dealers... such pains in the ass. That's the free market at work, just don't vote with your dollar. I know, it's annoying, you want the car they have minus the bullshit but well, it's their car for now.

I think I paid less than $150 at a window tinting shop to have a full sized sedan done. Tinting on the FRS should be about $100 or so.
Rims? Forget it. Nice rims are about $800-$1,000 for a set, plus tires. You can get Rotas with tires for about $1,200. $3-5k for rims are a rip off, especially when you don't get to keep the stock set. Scion dealers took a comfortable buying experience (pure pricing, no haggle) and turned it on the customer to a total rip off. |

So when I picked up my FR-S today (paid MSRP) I asked about the mark-ups and how Scion dealers can do it, and they said there is a loop-hole. If they have the price listed on the window sticker AND on their website, they are following Scions pure price policy, and technically can't get in trouble.
